Think you don't use marketing funnels in your business? Maybe you do, and you just never thought about it in the right way.
One often overlooked but EASY funnel to set up goes with your digital product downloads and online course signups.
This is a small detail that's worth your attention and could mean higher yield when people order a certain product from you.
When people sign up for your product or opt-in gift, you get the option to direct them to a specific landing page (of your choosing) after they sign up.
So the steps for "funneling your customers through to the next order" go like this:
- They sign up and put the order through.
- After the order processes, they're routed to a new page (this is totally controlled by you).
- On the new page, you can give them a special offer (like a private, exclusive offer).
- Explain that they won't find this anywhere else, and that the offer won't last.
- Your offer could be a discount on a similar product, or a special bundle... whatever you dream up that they can use.
Try it! Set up a simple funnel.
Next time you launch a new product, here's what to do.
Set up your first funnel in PayPal. Set up a funnel like this in PayPal when you create the order button for the product.
Under the button code's Advanced features you get to paste a URL (of a page that YOU create) which will serve as the upsell in the funnel for your customers to take advantage of).
Set up a funnel in Amember.
If you use Amember, you'll add the URL to the upsell product page in the PRODUCT tab.
So as you're filling in the product details, keep scrolling down. Toward the bottom, you'll find space to add a URL where you'd like customers to be automatically routed after they sign up.
Remember, YOU are the one who creates the new page that the customer will be routed to after they submit their order through.
Set up a more complex funnel.
That's one of the simplest types of funnels you can set up and use to squeeze more profits from one customer action.
You could also rig up DOWNSELL in your funnel. This is a lower-priced product page that they're routed to in the event your customer SAYS NO to the current offer.
(You would include a link where they get to reject the offer - many really do click it!)
