Simple Formula for Sharing TikTok Videos on a Blog (Yours or Someone Else’s)
I made a video earlier today explaining (with a demonstration) why it’s a good idea to share your TikTok videos on a blog. Not just *your* blog, but any other blog out there that’s already posting high quality
content will be an ideal space to share what you’ve created.
Some key points for creating your blog post that highlights a specific TikTok video:
Choose a video topic that you know a lot of people will be searching for.
The video I selected in this example is an Escarole and Beans recipe from Amy’s Best Dishes on TikTok. This subject gets a lot of search engine love because it’s a recipe people have heard of but maybe they haven’t ever made.
Match the video to a blog that works with the content.
This is about niches. I chose that recipe because it’s especially healthy, and healthy food is a running theme of one of my more popular, health-related blogs.
Create a keyword-friendly post title.
That means, just say what it is. The way to get a word match from search engines to your blog is to actually publish the words people are typing into the search engine. Don’t try to be original with your title. That will mean lost potential traffic.
Embed the video into the blog post.
Copy the embed code from TikTok, and paste that into the TEXT side of your blog post area. Flip back around to the Visual side, and you’ll see some code that indicates the video content has been placed (but you won’t see the actual video until you publish and then view that post live.
(In my video, I suggested that you share the video at the end of your post, but it doesn’t really matter what section of the post you choose to share it.)
