Discover Your Purpose (Day 4, Merry Coach Glue Christmas!)

I KNOW I've found my purpose. There isn't anything else I'd rather be doing (professionally speaking) than writing for clients and creating useful, inspiring, informative content.

Really! I really, really adore my chosen profession. I know it's what I was born to do, AND I know I was meant to work as a solopreneur.

How do I know? Well, for one thing... as soon as I made the switch from corporate to online business owner, my sense of time turned upside-down. How do you feel about time right now? How do your clients feel about time?

Do they count the hours until they're set free? That's what I used to do when I sat in a cubicle. Yup. First it was the daily traffic battle to try and get to work on time. Then there was the whole "You can't go to the cafeteria to get an egg and cheese because you're supposed to be working" romper room BS. And then there were hours and hours of being bored to tears, staying late, waiting for catalog pages to come through for a final proofing BUT sitting there doing NOTHING in the meantime, and having NO control over any of it.

Time crept along at a snail's pace back then. Sunday night brought on the feeling of dread. Having to get up tomorrow and do it all again.

But now, between doing what I love, and being in command of my own time... the hours FLY. I can't even tell you how many ideas are firing in my head at all times. Work, for me, is a joy and a pleasure. I ALWAYS want more time to be doing what I love. And that's how I know it's meant to be.

That said, we were talking about discovering your purpose. That can be a challenge for your clients and followers. Maybe they're in a job like I was, that didn't make them happy. Maybe they have a variety of talents, but they aren't sure how far to go with any one of them. Maybe they're not quite clear on what they're supposed to be doing that would bring income to live on and also prove satisfying by making use of their special gifts.
