How do you sell courses? Well, there are a number of ways. But the one that seems like a big win to me (because I've tested it and I APPROVE!... Gosh I love this platform) is Teachable's course creation software. Here's how it's done.
- Put an ebook together and include your branding and links. Add informative content and images to make it professional, style it how you like.
- Use the same content that you turned into an ebook to create a video. You can make slides by taking screen shots, or customizing images. Think steps, bulleted lists, charts, checklists, and visuals. Try to keep each slide to just a few sentences each, to avoid overwhelm.
- Make some assignments for your students to download and submit to you if desired. This would typically go into a Word document. These can be quizzes, self assessments, checklists, goals, essays, journal entries or planners.
- Upload all of your completed content documents - the PDF, MP4 and .Doc files to a new course that you create in Teachable. Type in all of the details about the course that your students would see once they signed in.
- Link your Teachable profile to your Paypal so you can take payments for the course. Create a coupon offer if you like!
- Start marketing your course everywhere! Your blog, social profiles, inside the Teachable blog platform that's included when you sign up, to your email list, and any place else that's relevant.
