If the Money is in the List, How Do You Get People ON Your List?
Write informative articles and publish as blog posts... continually. Link to the blog posts from social media and include a compelling intro AND a striking image.
Start a social media group where people can get to know you as an expert in your niche. Be sure you give them a link to your blog where they can sign up for your mailing list. Offer them a nice giveaway, such as an informative ebook, in exchange for their sign-up. Set this up so they will receive a link to download their gift as soon as they click CONFIRM.
Engage in seasonal publishing. Each season brings with it a new trend in your niche. To use the knitting example again, you might think that people aren't knitting in the summer time. However, there are always babies being born, so someone out there may be looking for a nice baby blanket pattern even if it's July. You can share that in your blog.
If you're not sure what types of seasonal things to share, head on over to a search engine and see what other experts in your niche are doing. You'll probably see things like health coaches doing New Year's 30-day cleanses. Or wedding bloggers sharing new wedding styles in early spring. Whatever niche you publish in will likely have its own trends. Start following along, and come up with your own ideas to match. Plan your blog posting, email publishing and social media campaign around the calendar year.
We have a fantastic selection of blog, email newsletter, ebook, online course and social media content (mostly articles, but some images too) over on Wordfeeder.com.
